Rockland Rotary recognized John Ferraiolo with the prestigious Community Person of the Year 2026 award at the Change of Command banquet held at the Rockland Elks, for his community “Service Above Self.” John is a key figure in the family-owned enterprise, Ferraiolo Construction Co., Inc., which has deep roots operating in the Mid-coast Maine region since the late 1960s. John has served as primary contact president and secretary/treasurer for the company. John serves as director for the Maine Lobster Festival, which celebrates the local lobster industry with food, entertainment, and fun activities. This five-day annual non-profit community event is volunteer-run. John has spent many years volunteering countless hours overseeing and working in the food tent.
John also generously volunteered “In-Kind” his time, equipment, and concrete at the building site for Rockland Rotary’s All-Inclusive Playground and pavilion at MacDougal Park.
