Rotarian Angel Aquirre (far right) is tirelessly enlisting enough interested members from her community to creation a Satellite Club for the Pittsfield area. Angel, along with a few prospective rotarians, traveled from Pittsfield to meet Rockland Rotarians and to attend a regular Rotary meeting. This potential Satellite Club would be an extension of the "Host" Rockland Rotary Club. Like all Rotary clubs, satellite clubs hold regular meetings, have bylaws and a board, and get involved in community service projects. The host club sponsors the satellite club and provides advice and support. Satellite club members would be Rotarians and officially would be members of the sponsor club.
