Reverend Father Daniel Ache is a Roman Catholic priest and the Coordinator of Caritas Kumbo (the humanitarian and development arm of the Diocese of Kumbo in the North West Region of Cameroon). He has witnessed much tragedy during Cameroon's civil war. Approximately, 300 people in the Diocese have been killed, over 1,300 homes have been destroyed, and 10,000 people displaced. While Father Daniel is not a member of the Rotary Club of Kumbo in Cameron himself, he works extensively with Rotarians and organizations, like the Knights of Columbus and Caritas, to help communities in Cameroon by providing humanitarian intervention initiatives to relieve the difficulties many are faced with. Father Daniel Ache exemplifies Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self” in his mission to improve the lives of others in his community. President Lexi Zable presents Father Daniel Ache with a Rockland Rotary Trading Banner and a Commemorative Rotary Coin.
